YRC provides opportunity!

Meet Young Adult Resource Center (YRC) Participant Sharnae Smith.

This summer she persevered as an expecting mom and successfully completed ten Northstar Digital Literacy Assessments which earned her certificates in Computer Skills, Software Skills, and Technology Skills.

The assessments she completed and passed included Basic Computer Skills, Internet Basics, Using Email, Windows 10, Mac OS, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Social Media, and Information Literacy. Sharnae will continue her training with Towards Employment this fall.

Our YRC provides young adults ages 18-24 with resources, workshops and hands on training to equip them for the workforce and economic self-sufficiency. We partner with several other organizations such as Ohio Means Jobs and Towards Employment to match them with lasting employment opportunities.

Individuals interested in learning more about the YRC can call 216-777-8222 or visit us at 1910 Carnegie Ave, on the Garden Level between the hours of 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
