Y.O.U. is honored at the 2022 Smart 50 awards for Top Executive and Community Impact

On Wednesday, November 9th Y.O.U. was honored to receive both a 2022 Northeast Ohio Smart 50 award for top executive to C.E.O. Craig Dorn and the Community Impact award.

Smart 50 recognizes the top executives in Northeast Ohio who have effectively built and lead innovative and smart organizations. The event honors large and mid-sized and emerging companies leaders who motivate and inspire their teams while also making a difference in the region.

Smart 50 also chooses one business or organization to receive specialty recognition in the categories of impact, innovation, community impact and sustainability. Y.O.U. was named the community impact honoree at the event. Upon receiving the award Craig Dorn was able to share with the attendees that this accomplishment has not been done all on his own. He thanked his staff for their hard work and dedication to the mission and culture of the organization. Y.O.U. is grateful for the additional recognition after receiving a smart culture award from Smart Business earlier this year.

Y.O.U. aims to sustain an internal culture that attracts and keeps some of the best talent in the region. This includes tripling the investment in staff training, and streamlining HR functions under one leader to create cohesive messaging. As well as focusing on staff wellness and fun and establishing family practices such as flexible work scheduling and paid parental leave. Y.O.U. is also a part of a national movement called Listen4Good which champions a robust feedback system for programs.

It was noted that Y.O.U. has and continues to build partnerships with similar organizations in the community such as Open Doors Academy, and the Neighborhood Leadership Institute. This only strengthens youth workforce systems in the region as well as creates opportunities to serve more youth.
