Young Adult construction cohort visits the FOX 8 newsroom

On Tuesday, September 19, the Young Adult 2023 construction program visited the FOX 8 newsroom. The newsroom manager gave them a tour of the facility. A highlight of the trip was meeting newsroom anchor, Wayne Dawson, who gave them words of encouragement.

In the construction cohort the young adults training on job readiness and fulfill their OSHA-10 certification. Through their six-week work experience, they accomplish NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) credential training and their forklift certification. Each participant receives one year of support services after they complete their program.
