Credential Training Program
The Y.O.U. Credential Training Program provides you with the skills, training, and support you need to launch a new career, all at no cost to you.
Y.O.U. pairs you with a case manager who will be there for you from orientation to graduation and beyond. You’ll learn from instructors with real-life experience in the field, receive coaching on interviewing for your next job, and perfect your resume to make your application stand out. Participants may earn cash training incentives. Credential programs are as follows:
Customer Care - Focuses on call centers and virtual customer service. Four weeks, 9 am-1:30 pm, Monday-Friday
Information Technology - Focuses on basic digital literacy, skills in navigating digital world, operating system administration, and fundamentals of network admin. Up to 10 weeks, 9 am-1:30 pm, Monday-Friday
State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) - Focuses on mental health and social service needs, CPR certification, basic nursing skills, state exam preparation, career and job readiness. Up to 10 weeks, 12:30-3:30 pm, Monday-Friday
Construction - Focuses on construction management, labor, cleaning, site maintenance to prepare for a career in the trades. Eight weeks
These programs are open to young adults who:
Are between the ages of 18 and 24
Have graduated high school or earned a GED
Are not enrolled in college
Live in Cuyahoga County
Are unemployed or underemployed (working less than 30 hours per week)
Aquil exemplifies what is possible with pursuing our Credential Training Program. He completed the I.T. track and got his Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) certification. He landed a great job with PC's for People.
