Since 1982, Y.O.U. has employed more than 160,000 14-18-year-old students in the Summer Youth Employment Program, also known as “Summer Jobs,” which provides subsidized employment for youth during the summer. Our employee retention rate is 89%.

Why host a teen or young adult for the summer?

  • 6 weeks of seasonal, entry-level work

  • Teach work ethics and financial independence

  • It’s an opportunity for you to help young people in our community through mentoring and work experience

  • Ability to hire workers permanently after the summer experience

  • Community partner recognition

To register, call Y.O.U. Employment Coordinator Ashley at (216) 973-0776 or register online.*

I have been an active community partner with Y.O.U.’s summer employment program for the past 10 years. It is the only youth program that imparts productive workplace skills, builds teamwork, requires effective time management, and instills positive self-esteem all while providing youth with a degree of financial responsibility. The Y.O.U. summer jobs program collaboration exemplifies the best of youth development endeavors in Cuyahoga County.
