Youth of the Nation: CLE

  • NewBridge Cleveland 3634 Euclid Avenue Cleveland, OH, 44115 United States (map)

How are the inner city youth of Cleveland faring? What are our community organizations doing to address their struggles and bring solutions to improve their well-being?

Former Cleveland Mayor Carl Stokes identified five key elements essential to building an inclusive city: “Improved educational attainment, affordable and viable housing, better health care delivery, meaningful training and jobs, transparent community-oriented policing and advancements in the social and environmental factors that surround these elements must be a priority.”

Join us as a panel of representatives from five Cleveland nonprofits share the work they are doing to address Mayor Stokes’ pillars of inclusivity:

  • Food and Nutrition: Cleveland Food Bank

  • Arts: Karamu House

  • Shelter and Homelessness: YWCA’s A Place 4 Me

  • Workforce Development: Youth Opportunities Unlimited

  • Safety and Health: NEOMED-Cleveland State University

Margaret Bernstein, Director of Advocacy & Community Initiatives and Executive Producer, We The People at WKYC-TV, will serve as the moderator.

Tickets: $10, includes program and refreshments
