Countdown to Founders Luncheon on August 5th
Raffle to offer great prizes

Tickets to the Founders Luncheon are still available starting at $75 each. Tables of 8 are also available starting at $750. Help us honor KeyBank and The KeyBank Foundation for their leadership in the community and their commitment to youth workforce development. The 14kt gold and sterling silver bracelet pictured at the left is one of the prizes in the Founders Luncheon Raffle on Thursday, August 5th, at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel. Other prizes include Continental Airline tickets, a Monsters suite for 12 people, a Browns football autographed by Josh Cribbs, and 3 gift baskets valued at more than $1,000 each. The baskets include sports tickets, Cleveland attractions, restaurant gift certificates, entertainment, and wine.

All checks must be received by Tuesday, August 3rd. Tickets can also be purchased online at the Y.O.U. website. Click on "Donate Now" and designate "Raffle." Please note that a service fee will be charged by Network for Good for every online transaction.


Meet Y.O.U.'s newest Board member, Bob Burkhart
Robert Burkhart, CPA, JD, is a Financial Services Professional with New York Life Insurance Company. He received his BBA from Notre Dame University and his JD from Toledo College of Law. Bob is committed to providing individuals, families, and businesses with life insurance and financial products and services that meet their needs.

 

Bob attended a Breakfast with Y.O.U. and became interested the mission. "At the time I was introduced to Y.O.U., I was looking to cut back my volunteer responsibilities. However, Y.O.U.'s mission made me dig deeper and find the time to participate in this awesome organization." Bob brings an expertise in finance, law, and estate planning to the Board. Welcome to Y.O.U.!

Summer Jobs Program off to a great start
In the month of April, more than 13,000 youth, ages 14 to 18, registered online for the 2010 Summer Jobs Program. Currently, more than 3,200 are enrolled in summer job experiences like this one through Merrick House. More than 1,300 sites throughout Cuyahoga County offered youth unique work experiences this summer. We commend the youth for their participation and thank the employers for providing the opportunities to make the program a success.
